Frequently Asked Questions
What is virtual care?
You can communicate with a provider via video chat on your computer, tablet, or phone when receiving virtual care. It can also be referred to as video visits, telehealth, or telemedicine. During our virtual appointment, please tell us about your symptoms, mental health, or medical concerns. We can suggest a course of action. In addition to offering you care alternatives in a treatment plan, our providers can prescribe prescriptions.
To ensure your visit goes as smoothly as possible:
• Look for a quiet area with good lighting.
• Verify that your device is plugged into a reliable and robust internet connection.
• Prepare a list of your medical history, including any
allergies and prescriptions you
are currently taking.
Yes. If we prescribe medicine, we will send it to the pharmacy of your choice or have it mailed directly to your home. Please note that we cannot prescribe certain medications, such as Narcotics, Controlled Substances, or Pain Medication.
If you are disconnected, the provider will attempt to connect with you again via video or telephone. If we cannot reconnect, schedule another visit when you can.
No, Lema Medical & Wellness Center is a Cash Based practice. Our prices are competitive and affordable with other telehealth providers. We offer personalized primary care and medical weight loss management services.
